Lycoming Regional Police issued the following news release on Thursday morning.

“On April 17, 2025, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Lycoming Regional Police Department took 35-year-old Kari Lisa Greenaway into custody at her residence in Pine Creek Twp, Clinton Count.

Greenaway was arrested on an outstanding warrant charging her with 3rd Degree Murder, Homicide By Vehicle, Accidents Involving Death, and other related offenses. The charges stem from Greenaway’s involvement in a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on February 17, 2025, along SR 220 Highway in Porter Twp, Lycoming County. The investigation revealed that Greenaway was operating a vehicle at a high rate of speed, traveling in the wrong direction on SR 220 Highway, when she struck and killed another motorist. Greenaway fled the scene but was apprehended shortly after by Lycoming Regional Police. The investigation, led by Officer Jared Mahosky with assistance from the Pennsylvania State Police, determined that Greenaway was at fault for the crash, resulting in the loss of life. Greenaway was arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Denise Dieter and committed to Lycoming County Prison in lieu of bail.”
