Williamsport’s Summers has second-best time in 100 breast prelims; reaches A finals

His time also earned him High School All-American honors as he reached the qualifying time of 55.22 for the honors in the event.
Summers’ time was the second best in the prelims, qualifying him for the A finals on Saturday evening at Bucknell.
The only swimmer with a prelim time faster than Summers was Upper Dublin senior Toby Herzog who swam a 54.93.

In the 100 free prelims, Williamsport senior Keller Griswold swam a time of 47.59, dropping time by nearly a second, and finished 27th in the preliminary race.
Williamsport saw junior Brady Ross swim in the 500 free prelims on Saturday morning as well. Ross finished in 4:59.26, finishing 32nd in the prelims.
Cooper Allmaras competed in the 100 back prelims and finished in 55.38, dropping roughly half a second of his time, to finish 29th in the prelims.
Williamsport senior Kendall Cohick competed in the 100 back on Saturday in the prelims and finished in 1:00.45, finishing 29th in the event.
Williamsport junior Kyla Becker competed in the 100 breast in the prelims and finished with a time of 1:13.90, taking 30th in the competition.
They were the only two Williamsport swimmers who competed on Saturday.
Williamsport’s Clover Lindsay and Allie Eberhart both competed in the PIAA Class AAA diving championships. Clover, a junior, scored a 121.90 in the finals while Eberhart, a freshman, scored a 112.60.
The duo finished 22nd and 23rd, respectively.
Conestoga senior Avery Hillier took gold by scoring a 480.35 while Freedom junior Hayden Taylor scored 467.45 for silver.
