LHU’s Starr earns PSAC West Pitcher of the Week Honors
After a stellar pitching performance this past weekend, Lock Haven baseball’s Garrett Starr was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Starr pitched game-one of the four game series against Glenville State and led the Bald Eagles to a thrilling 1-0 victory by tossing six-shutout innings.
With the win, Starr, who struck seven hitters, earned his second victory on the mound to kick off the season
The Bald Eagles swept that doubleheader to improve to 6-0, marking their best start in program history.
Lock Haven, now 6-2 on the season, is ranked No. 10 in the National College Baseball Writing Association (NCBWA) Atlantic Region top-10, the organization announced on Monday.
