Jersey Shore continued its resurgent season Friday night and won its third straight game, defeating defending District 4 Class AAA champion Loyalsock, 57-48. Ben Dalton had a monster game, scoring a game-high 25 points and grabbing 16 rebounds as Jersey Shore (4-2) defeated Loyalsock for the first time in more than a decade. Jacob Lorson added nine points and the Bulldogs won despite playing without two starters and a reserve who were out with illness. Freshmen Brecken Gusick (12) and Braydon Cioffi (10) each scored in double figures for Loyalsock.

Alex Schultz dominated inside and pulled down 24 rebounds, helping Hughesville earn its first win with a 61-50 victory against Milton. Schultz also scored a team-high 19 points and blocked four shots, producing his second double-double. Fellow sophomore Gavin Knarr also had a big night, scoring 17 points and making three steals, while going 7 for 7 at the foul line. Jarrett Easton added eight points as Hughesville outscored Milton in all four quarters. Milton point guard Rylin Scott scored a game-high 23 points.

In girls’ basketball, Williamsport put together a dominant first quarter and cruised from there as it defeated Warrior Run, 66-12. The Millionaires built a 27-4 first quarter advantage and scored at least 17 points in each of the first three quarters. Nadirah Tutler led a balanced offense and scored a game-high 17 points, while Jaelynn Helmrich produced 14. Laylah Martin added a career-high 10 points and Khamya Moate eight.
