Loyalsock overcame an early 1-0 deficit to defeat Williamson, 2-1, in a preliminary matchup in the District 4 Class AA playoffs.

With the win, the Lancers advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday and will face Lewisburg.

Williamson scored four minutes into the game for a 1-0 lead. Brycen Savoy scored off an assist by Gavin Grieco six minutes later to tie the game. Then, in the 33rd minute, Loyalsock struck again when Grieco found Evan Anderson to take the lead as the defense held on.

Williamson held an 8-7 advantage in shots.

In another play-in game for Class AA, Warrior Run defeated North Penn-Liberty, 4-0, scoring three goals in the first half. Gideon Kennel scored twice and Gavin Hunter and Ryan Kemock added goals for the Defenders. Ori Kennel had four assists.
