Harrington W. “Duke” Kershner III

Harrington W. “Duke” Kershner III, 85, of Montoursville, died Sunday, March 30, 2025, at his home.

Born August 20, 1939, in Williamsport, he was a son of the late Harrington W. Kershner II and Marjorie (Dunlap) Kershner.

Duke served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy from 1958 – 1968. Duke served with the Atlantic fleet during the Cuban Blockade in 1962. He was a member of the American Legion Post 104, Montoursville. Duke enjoyed watching Western movies, having his three dogs following him around, plus spending time with family and friends.

Surviving is three children, Sarah Kershner, Duke (Jennifer) Kershner IV, and Michael Kershner, all of Montoursville; three grandchildren, Kimberly Brown, Brandan Heivly, Amber Cunningham, with two great-grandchildren Freya Brown, and Alora Smeal.

In addition to his parents, Duke was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Lorraine (Ferris) Kershner.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
