M. Sylvia Daniels

M. Sylvia Daniels, 97, of Bensalem Pa, formerly a life-long resident of Williamsport, passed away on February 10, 2025.
Her husband, Maurice R. Daniels, died July 2014, after 59 years of marriage.
She was a member of Annunciation Church, now St. Joseph the Worker Parish, and formerly a member of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court #532, Our Lady of Victory.
Born July 31, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Loretta (Stadler) Geiger.
Left to cherish her memory are 3 children Patricia (Brian) Everly of Philadelphia, Duane (Tina) Daniels of Montoursville, and Barbara (John) Brown of Bensalem. Her son, Kenneth Daniels passed away in 2002.
Sylvia is also survived by 3 sisters, Hilda Delaney, Ann Allison, and Christine Rimer, all of Williamsport. She was preceded in death by her siblings Victor Geiger, Gerald Geiger, Irene Howlett, and Rose Weber.
Sylvia was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Williamsport, and of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing, Scranton. She worked at Divine Providence and Williamsport Hospitals as a Registered Nurse for over 40 years. She volunteered at her church any way she could. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, sewing, playing cards, and being immersed in nature’s flora and fauna. Sylvia’s artful knack of making something out of scraps was very special.
Sylvia had 5 grandchildren, Amanda, April, Jack, Matthew, and Daniel; 5 great-grandchildren Alexander, Liliana, Jordan, Nolan, and Hazel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 702 W. 4th St., Williamsport Pa 17701 with Rev. David W. Bechtel officiating.
The family will receive friends and family on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport Pa 17701, with a service by the Nurse’s Honor Guard at 7:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations in Sylvia’s name to Caring Hospice Services, 400 Commerce Dr., Suite C., Fort Washington Pa 19034.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to Sylvia’s devoted caregiver Kathy McCollum; her dedicated hospice nurse, Jaime West; and hospice aide Yolanda Perry.
