Howard L. Worthington

Howard L. Worthington, 78, of Montoursville, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at The Gatehouse, Williamsport.

Born June 16, 1946 in Franklin Township, he was a son of the late Frank and Clara Jean (Whitmoyer) Worthington. On March 8, 1986 he married the former Pamela L. Huffman, and together they celebrated 18 years of marriage until her passing in November 2004.

Howard was a graduate of Hughesville High School. He was a member of the FFA, and Dairy Farmers of America. Howard spent much of his life working on the family farm.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farming.

Howard is survived by two sons, Lee L. Worthington, Watsontown, and Devon R. Worthington, Unityville; 5 grandchildren; a brother, Raymond Worthington, Unityville; and a sister, Mary Harvey, Picture Rocks.

In addition to his parents and wife, Howard was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Mae Boyles.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation between 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Hughesville Funeral Home and Cremation Svc., Inc., 5069 Route 220 Highway, Hughesville where a funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. with Pastor Dave Harman, officiating. Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.
