Patricia J. Rambo

Patricia J. Rambo, 85, of Wyndham Court, Williamsport, died peacefully, Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at UPMC Williamsport. Born April 23, 1939, in Beccaria, Pa, she was a daughter of George C. and Lois C. (Johnson) Shoff. She was the wife of Robert C. Rambo, with whom she shared 14 years of marriage.

Pat retired after 16 1/2 years as a member of the Business faculty at Penn College, she also taught for 12 years at the University of Delaware. Pat began her teaching career at the high school level in Dayton, Pa following her graduation from Indiana University of PA. Pat was thankful for a 34-year career she truly enjoyed.

Pat was an active member of the Greenview Alliance Church of Montoursville for many years. Psalm 46:10 “Be still, and know that I am God…” was a favorite and comforting verse to her.

Pat is survived by nephews, Christopher C. (Deborah) Gathagan, of New Kensington, David A. (Nancy) Merrick, of Muncy, Joseph D. (Patricia) Merrick, of Pennsdale; and many other nieces and nephews.

Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Rambo in 2005; sister, Betty Lou Gathagan and nephew, Dennis Gathagan.

Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, November 25, at Greenview Alliance Church, 1955 Warrensville Road Montoursville, with Rev. A. Andrew Beare, and Rev. Steve E. Halstead officiating. A private burial will follow on Tuesday at Beulah Cemetery, Ramey, Pa. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, November 24, at the McCarty Thomas Funeral Home 733 Broad Street, Montoursville.
