After eight years in operation, Murray Motors Lock Haven will be shuttered, a press release from the car dealership announced Wednesday afternoon.
“This was a difficult decision to make; however, after eight incredible years of serving our community, Murray Motors is announcing the consolidation of our Ford new car sales and service operations to our Muncy, Pa. location,” the release said.
The consolidation is the result of “an evolving economy and automotive landscape, with Ford Motor Company strategically guiding this transition to better serve our valued customers,” the release said.
“We want to express our deepest gratitude to our customers, employees and the local community for their support and loyalty over the years,” Murray Motors said in the release, stressing plans to update and enhance their Muncy operation.
The dealership’s Ford Mobile Service Van will remain operational, the press release said.
“In addition to ensuring solutions for our valued and loyal customers, we have also worked diligently to achieve employment for as many of the Murray Team members that we could,” the press release said.
