Raise the Region 2025, a 30-hour online fundraising event designed to support the fundraising efforts of 376 nonprofit organizations in the region, will take place from 6 p.m., Wednesday, through 11:59 p.m. on Thursday.

“Raise the Region is made possible through the partnership between FCFP and Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships, who have pledged a generous $175,000 contribution to stretch donations made to participating nonprofits,” a news release from the foundation said. “This year’s event continues to offer an opportunity for donors to make a significant impact by supporting local nonprofits that serve Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder, Tioga and Union counties.”

“We are thrilled to see such a strong showing of local nonprofits, and we are deeply grateful to our presenting sponsor, Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships, for making this event possible,” said Erin Ruhl, director of community engagement for the foundation, according to the news release. “Raise the Region would not be possible without the incredible support of our sponsors. Their generosity amplifies the impact of every donation, empowering nonprofits to serve our communities in meaningful ways.”

Pre-registered 501(c)(3) organizations will be featured on the event’s platform, www.raisetheregion.org, where donors can make tax-deductible contributions. Gifts will be enhanced by Blaise Alexander Family Dealerships’ stretch fund, creating an even greater impact for the nonprofit’s mission.

In addition, donors can help nonprofits qualify for $125,000 in monetary prizes sponsored by organizations such as Evergreen Wealth Solutions, First Citizens Community Bank, Larson Design Group, Pennsylvania Skill by Miele Manufacturing, Subaru, Toyota Motor Corporation, UPMC, UPMC Health Plan and Weis Markets.
