Narcotics unit charges two following alleged drug sales to informants
Felony drug charges have been lodged against John Allen and his girlfriend, Vanessa Snyder, for their alleged involvement in two city sales of cocaine to informants, according to court documents filed by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit. One sale took place at West Fourth and Grier streets on June 26 and the other occurred in the 600 block of Wildwood Boulevard on Sept. 11, where Allen, also known as “Booda,” and Snyder were living at the time, it was stated in a criminal complaint,
A week after the second sale, detectives executed a search warrant at the couple’s home and seized two handguns (one of which had an obliterated serial number) and13 grams of cocaine packaged in individual bags, investigators said. Allen, 42, of 1200 Sherman St., has been charged with two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal use of a cellphone and criminal conspiracy as well as one count of possession of a firearm with an altered manufactured number. Snyder, 38, of 671 Campbell St., has been charged with one count each of delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy. Following their arraignments before District Judge Christian Frey, both were released on $75,000 bail. The two have since waived their preliminary hearing.
