3 charged with drug offenses

Rasheed Bond, 37, of 647 Beeber St., was taken into custody late Wednesday afternoon on three felony counts of delivery of a controlled for his alleged involvement in three drug sales that occurred in 400 block of Freedom Road, near the city-Loyalsock Township line, between Feb. 13 and Feb. 24, it was alleged in an affidavit filed by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU). The sales involved various amounts of crack cocaine, investigators said, adding that Bond provided the controlled substance to another man, who actually sold the drugs to an undercover officer. Bond who admitted to District Judge Christian Frey during his arraignment that he struggles with drug addiction, was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.

In another case, Mikal Lamar Lattimore, who is no stranger to detectives assigned to the NEU, has been arrested yet again; this time for selling cocaine to an informant on Dec. 18 and Dec. 19 in the 300 block of High Street in the city, it was alleged in court records filed recently by the narcotics unit at the office of District Judge Aaron Biichle. The latest charges include two felony counts each of delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of a cellphone plus one count of conspiracy. Lattimore, 39, of 967 High St., who has been arrested multiple times on drug charges, has waived his preliminary hearing in this latest case and remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail. Ashley Giacomi, 36, of Southard Road, Trout Run, was arrested in January on drug charges stemming from her alleged involvement in the second drug sale that Lattimore had with an informant, court records stated. She has waived her preliminary hearing and is free on bail.

In another case, Brennan Scott Gundrum, 28, of 1414 E. Third St., has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance for allegedly having a bag of six grams of cocaine in his jacket when a fugitive task force stopped his car on Interstate 180 in Loyalsock Township on Feb. 6 and took him into custody on a city police felony warrant charging him with robbery and theft. While Gundrum, also known as “Gunny,” has waived his preliminary hearing on the one felony city police drug charge, the robbery and theft charges have since been withdrawn after the alleged victim in the case chose not to testify. The victim had claimed he was robbed of $200 allegedly by Gundrum while trying to settle “a drug debt” with him. Gundrum remains jailed in lieu of $85,000 bail.
