Several face charges including child endangerment, assault in various cases
Convicted drug dealer back behind bars
While out on supervised bail, convicted drug dealer Albert Angel Cunningham used his city apartment “as a base of operations for his illegal drug enterprise,” a detective with the county’s Narcotics Unit alleged in an affidavit.
Just last week, between Jan.13 and Jan. 15, Cunningham, 31, sold 3.5 grams of marijuana to an informant, the detective alleged in a new criminal complaint that was filed at the office of District judge Aaron Biichle.
In the same complaint, the narcotics unit charged Cunningham, of 917 Washington Blvd., apartment 4, with allegedly selling marijuana to another man on Oct. 21, one day before investigators raided the apartment with a search warrant that led to Cunningham’s arrest, incarceration and eventual release on supervised bail.
He has since been arraigned before Biichle on two additional felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance and jailed in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Hughesville man allegedly kicked two state troopers
Assault charges have been lodged against Steven Wayne Farver, 32, of the rear of 178 Cemetery St., Hughesville, after he is alleged to have kicked two state troopers, according to an affidavit filed at the office of District Judge Denise Dieter.
On the night of Dec. 23, Farver was brought to UPMC Muncy for “alcohol detox,” but he created a disturbance as he attempted to leave the emergency department, police said in an affidavit. When troopers arrived at the hospital, Farver refused to comply with their orders, forcing one of the troopers to deploy his taser, police said.
Moments after being placed in handcuffs, Farver kicked a trooper in the chest, it was alleged in the court document. While he was being transported to the Montoursville barracks in the backseat of a police cruiser, Farver kicked a second trooper in the right shoulder as the trooper was driving on Interstate 180 West, it was alleged in the affidavit.
Arraigned hours later before District Judge Denise Dieter on charges of aggravated and simple assault, resisting arrest, recklessly endangering another person and harassment, Farver was initially jailed, but he has since been released on $50,000 bail. He recently waived his preliminary hearing.
Montoursville area man faces charges as a result of domestic disturbance
While the woman was attempting to gather her personal belongings inside the Upper Fairfield Township home of her boyfriend, Matthew Danie Carey, on Monday morning, the 59-year-old man picked up “a double-barrel shotgun” and fired one round in the wall, it was alleged in a state police affidavit.
Without saying anything, the 59-year-old Carey then picked up a knife and “put it to the woman’s throat” before striking her in the head with the shotgun three times, police alleged. The victim managed to flee the residence, police said, adding she was treated at UPMC Williamsport.
Carey was later taken into custody at his home at 40 Kuhns Road and arraigned before District Judge William Solomon on charges of recklessly endangering another person and simple assault. He was released on $25,000 bail.
Four charged with drug offenses in separate cases
Lycoming County Prison inmate and accused drug dealer Antwaine Cockrell, 36, of 2612 Dove St., was charged last week with delivery of a controlled substance and illegal use of a cellphone for allegedly selling 1.6 grams of crack cocaine to an informant in the 2200 block of Lycoming Creek Road on Dec. 16, according to an affidavit filed by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU). Following his arraignment before District Judge William Solomon, Cockrell was recommitted in lieu of an additional $25,000 bail. Shortly after this sale, Cockrell was taken into custody and incarcerated on a series of felony offenses, charging him with selling 50 bags of fentanyl to informants between Nov. 19 and Dec. 15, investigators alleged.
In another case, Ashley Nicole Giacomi, 36, of 1822 Southard Road, Trout Run, was arrested last week on felony charges of delivery of a controlled substance and conspiracy for her alleged involvement in the selling of cocaine to an informant in the 300 block of High Street in the city on Dec. 20, according to an NEU affidavit. Following her arraignment before District Judge Aaron Biichle, Giacomi was released on $75,000 bail.
In another case, Sean Beam, 42, of 117 W. Sixth Ave., South Williamsport, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance after NEU detectives discovered a small jar containing methamphetamine while executing a search warrant at his home on Oct. 10, court documents stated. He has waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Gary Whiteman and is free on $5,000 bail.
In another case brought before Whiteman, Mindy Lee Nichols, 40, of 601 ½ W. Southern Ave., South Williamsport, has been charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia for allegedly having 3.2 grams of methamphetamine on Sidney Street in the borough on Dec. 26, 2023, according to a state police affidavit. She has since waived her preliminary hearing and is free on $5,000 bail.

Isabella Rivera-Batista, 20, of 611 Locust St., was arrested on a felony charge of endangering the welfare of a child after “leaving her 11-month-old baby unattended in her home for an extended period of time” about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, city police alleged in an affidavit.
The charge was filed after Lycoming Housing maintenance staff found the infant abandoned in a crib, police said. Following his arraignment before Biichle, Rivera-Batista was released on $75,000 bail.
