Old Lycoming Township man charged with allegedly punching woman in the head
Bryon Michael Vance, 35, of 1971 Yale Ave., will face further court action on charges of simple assault and harassment that were filed by Lycoming Regional police after he punched a woman “in the right side of her head, causing her to suffer a concussion” during a disturbance at his home on Dec. 13, it was alleged in an affidavit. While becoming aggressive and yelling at her, Vance backed the woman into a corner in the kitchen, prompting her to slap him, police were told. The next thing the woman remembered was waking up on the kitchen floor a short time later, police said. Vance allegedly told her “he punched her,” police said. The victim went to a hospital the next day and learned she had a concussion, the affidavit stated. Upon being discharged she notified police. Vance has waived his preliminary hearing on the charges before District Judge William Solomon and is free on $5,000 bail.
