Four face drug charges in three separate cases
Antwaine C. Cockrell, 36, of 2295 Lycoming Creek Road, has been locked up on drug charges following his alleged involvement in four sales of fentanyl to informants between Nov. 19 and Dec. 15, according to state police. Two of the sales occurred at 2705 W. Fourth St. while one took place at 1448 W. Fourth St. and another at Cockrell’s room, investigators alleged. A total of 50 bags of fentanyl were told, police said. When troopers executed a search warrant at Cockrell’s room, they seized 28 grams of marijuana, it was stated in an affidavit. Following his arraignment before District Judge Aaron Biichle on four felony counts of delivery of a controlled substance and one felony count each of possession with intent to deliver marrijuana and illegal use of a cellphone, Cockrell was committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $85,000 bail.
In another drug case, Melissa Ann Hyde, 48, of 1257 High St., has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, and Julye Ann Koch, 28, of 353 Koch Horn Lane, Cogan Station, has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance after Koch allegedly sold 3.5 grams of methamphetamine to Hyde in the 100 block of Academy Street in the city on Dec. 6, according to court records filed by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU). Both women were arraigned before District Judge Kirsten Gardner and are free bail.
In another NEU case, James R. Kane, 49, of 2021 E. Third St., has been charged with delivery of a controlled substance for selling 3.76 grams of cocaine to an informant in the 2000 block of East Third Street on Aug. 5, it was alleged in an affidavit. Following his arraignment before District Judge Gary Whiteman, Kane was released on $10,000 bail. He has since waived his preliminary hearing. Kane was arrested earlier this year when he had in his possession 34 grams of suspected marijuana and 20 grams of a hallucinogenic substance in the 300 block of Westminster Drive in Loyalsock Township in late April, according to state police.
