Alimamy Turay, 37, of 1432 Richards Ave., will face further court action after he was held for court on city police charges of aggravated and simple assault following a recent preliminary hearing before District Judge Christian Frey. The charges stem from Turay striking another man several times in the face in the 1700 block of West Fourth Street about 4 p.m. on April 28, it was alleged in an affidavit. Turay’s alleged assault left the victim with a closed-head injury, police said, adding Turay attacked him because he believed the man had been “hanging out with his ex,” the affidavit stated. Following his arraignment, Turay was released on $15,000 bail.
