What is your opinion of individual identity records being on file in City Hall as part of Williamsport's proposed landlord-tenant ordinance?

  1. It's an invasion of privacy and should not be allowed. The ordinance should put the onus on landlords to know who is living in their housing and whether any codes requirements are being broken.
  2. I'm for anything that will assure that rental propoerties are being inhabitated in proper numbers by law-abiding citizens.

Both choices are the same thing only different.

Therefore a reasonable person is left "" without "" a choice.

taxpayers are gonna pay for more bull administration records that no one is going to look at,we need to roll back government and use the laws we have like the nuisance ordinance, I just went thru an eviction my family had several people living there tha t werent on the lease , I couldnt evict because I couldnt prove it finally codes went in and caught someone in the attic and I fially got them out, codes and police needs to work more with the landlords registering good tenants will not help only deter good people from moving to our city,

The ordinance assumes that renters are the only people in town that will break the law. If renters are required to register, then private homeowners should also. Don't they still need to abide by the same city codes as renters? If not, they should. Homeowners are just as capable of commiting a crime as a renter. This is discrimination.
