Your reaction to the selection of new Pope Francis from Argentina is:

  1. He's humble, down to earth and an excellent, modern communicator, and represents the Catholic Church heavy Latin population, an excellent choice.
  2. He's too old and may appear - rightly or wrongly - out of touch to the people the church needs to bring back or introduce to the faith.
  3. I don't think it matters who the pope is, we live in a time when people are turning away from all tradition religion.

Personally, none of the choices provided accurately reflect the possibilities. For example, as a Catholic, I leant towards the first, but who, in his position would carry his own bags and pay for his hotel room - after he was elected Pope? That's a bit extreme. The office requires more dignity, and whle humility is a huge part of it, someone at the level as head of the Catholic church should eschew some expectations.
