Lucy O. Miles, 92, formerly of Williamsport, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2014, at her son's home in Lancaster, where she had resided for the last year.
Born March 6, 1922, in Ralston, her maiden name was Lucy O. Turi
She was preceded in death by three brothers; four sisters; her husband, Chester N. Miles in 1972; and a daughter, Bonnie Jean Bird.
Lucy was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. She had done catering in the Williamsport area for many years and also was known throughout the area for her singing.
Surviving are two sons, Chet Miles and Gerard "Jerry" Miles, both of Lancaster; 12 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Fourth and Walnut streets, Williamsport. Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph the Worker portico.
In lieu of flowers memorials in Lucy's name may be made to The American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.
