With back to school time right around the corner, the area's premier nonprofit school of music is gearing up to kick off a brand new semester. The Uptown Music Collective will be holding their annual Fall Open House at 6 p.m. Aug 21 as part of its Fall Enrollment Week. The open house will be held at the Collective's facilities at 848 W. During the Fall Open House, prospective students will be able to enroll for the school's 16 week fall semester as well as tour the facilities and meet with teachers. Workshops will be going on during the hours of the open house so those in attendance can see what takes place at the school on a daily basis.
The fall semester will run from Sept. 2 until Jan. 10, 2015. There are currently openings for students of all levels who are looking for private instruction on the guitar, bass, drums, keyboards/piano and voice.
