DuBoistown Garden Club to hold meeting
The DuBoistown Garden Club will present "Clean Water Resources" by Dr. Melvin Zimmerman, Lycoming College professor, at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church hall, 800 W. Central Ave., South Williamsport.
Hostesses will be co-chairwomen Lisa Bock and Patricia Kaczmarek.
Committee members include Georgie Bower, Rita Bower, Tanga Brown, Diane Cramer, Linda Kopsciansky, Carol LaRue, Susan Mahoney and Gretchen Mangiardi.
Williamsport Herb Guild to host meeting
The Williamsport Herb Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Aug. 18, at Covenant-Central Presbyterian Church, 807 W. Fourth St.
Yvonne Morris will present "Plant Based Healing." The meeting is open to the public.
Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild to hold meeting
TIOGA - The August meeting of the Mountain Laurel Quilt Guild and the annual guild picnic will be held at 6 p.m. on Aug. 18, at the Lakeside Shelter at Ives Run Recreation Area.
Family members and guests are welcome.
Guild members are asked to bring a dish to pass and their own table service.
Following the meal a short business meeting and a show and tell of members' recent quilted projects will be held.
All meetings are open to the public.

Mock group interview to be held
A mock group interview will be conducted by a representative from the Susquehanna Health System at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 19, at the Lycoming County CareerLink, 329 Pine St. The workshop is free, but seating is limited. Garden Club to hold annual picnic
The McEwensville Garden Club's annual picnic will be held at 6 p.m. Aug. 19, at the home of Sandy and Ron Hendricks. A steam cook is being prepared and beverages and a dessert will be provided.
The event is only open for members and their guests.
Reservations are required with a fee. Attendees should bring a chair and a trash-to-treasure item, that will be judged at the picnic.
