Helen W. Dutton, 92, former resident of Jersey Shore, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014.
She was born March 27, 1922, in Ithaca, N.Y., daughter of Earl and Pearl (Sheddy) Westbrook.
Helen celebrated 58 years of marriage with the late Clair A. Dutton prior to his passing in 2003.
She was a member of the Fairplay Gospel Fellowship where she served as a deaconess for three years and on the hospitality committee for six years.
Helen had worked for Sylvania for seven years during World War II, later working at Cobblers and Woolrich.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane C. (Paul) Duncan, of Cogan Station; a son, Dale (Darla) Dutton, of Mill Hall; two grandchildren, Tina M. (Steve) Esposito, of Maryland and John (Annette) Damien, of California; three great-grandchildren, Tyler and Cameron Esposito and soon to be born, Owen Damien; two sisters, Anetta (Ray) Young, of Kentucky and Leverda (Bill) Hilling, of Collomsville.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Harrison Westbrook in World War II and her parents.
Family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions can be made to the Susquehanna Health-Gatehouse, 1001 Grampian Blvd., Williamsport, PA 17701.
Relatives and friends are invited to Helen's Life Celebration service 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at the Rearick-Carpenter Funeral Home, Ltd., "A Life Celebration Home," 1002 Allegheny St., Jersey Shore, with the Rev. Gary Shumway officiating. A visitation will be from 9:30 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Jersey Shore Cemetery.
