Steel company announces new shift supervisor
High Steel Structures LLC has promoted Michael F. Morgan to Paint Bay Supervisor for the third shift at its Williamsport plant. In this role, he is responsible for supervising staff, scheduling and monitoring workflow, maintaining policy and procedure compliance, and maintaining a safe work environment.
A resident of Williamsport, Morgan joined High Steel Structures LLC in 1997, and previously served as Lead employee, a news release said. He attended Williamsport Area Community College, and served for four years in the U.S. Army where he received training in the Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, and Advance Non-Commissioned Officer Course. He also served in the United States Army Reserve, retiring in 2006.
Founded in 1931 in Lancaster, High Steel Structures LLC, an affiliate of High Industries Inc., is one of the largest fabricators of structural steel in North America, with more than one million tons of steel fabricated over the past 20 years, according to a news release. More than 500 workers at High Steel fabricate a wide range of complex bridge components and heavy building girders, and the company offers bridge steel erection, transportation, and emergency bridge repair services. David Palski, Jersey Shore State Bank regional president, has announced that Krista Gephart has been named the branch manger and Sharon Barbour has been named the assistant branch manager of the Jersey Shore State Bank's Loyalsock Township branch. The bank's newest office is located at 1720 E. Third Street on the Golden Strip.
With over 14 years of financial services experience, Gephart will be responsible for the overall operation of the branch as well as consumer and small business lending in the Loyalsock Township market area. She is a graduate of Lycoming College with a bachelor's degree in business administration.
Barbour brings over 30 years of banking experience to the new office. She will be responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the branch including staff management and customer service.
"Krista and Sharon along with their staff bring the experience and knowledge that customers want," Palski said, according to the news release. "We are excited about what the future holds."
Active in the local community, Gephart is enthusiastic about what she and the Loyalsock staff can do in the area. "Growing up in Lycoming County I know how important community is, the staff and I are happy that giving back to the community is a large part of the Jersey Shore State Bank culture," she said.

for years of service
Four Citizens and Northern Bank employees have been recognized for a combined 40 years of service to the financial institution.
Recognized during the July service awards luncheon were: Darci Baird, senior financial consultant in the Sayre office; Leslie Fassett, Monroeton community office manager; Joseph Kilmer, financial consultant in the Coudersport office; Melissa Peters, customer service representative based in the Towanda office, all for 10 years.
Service awards luncheons are held regularly and hosted by Charles H. Updegraff Jr., bank chairman, president and CEO In 2014, the bank will recognize 36 employees for a total of 545 years of service to Citizens & Northern Bank.
