Bruce A. Miller, 95, of 27 Milheim Road, Watsontown, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Watsontown Health and Rehab. He was born Dec. 23, 1918, in Fairfield Township, a son of Harry and Enzie Flick Miller.
Bruce retired from Montour Auto Service and had also worked part time for Rovendale Supply in Watsontown. He was a member of the East District Mennonite Church and was a World War II veteran serving in the Army.
In his later years Bruce enjoyed gardening, mowing grass, cutting patches for quilts, separating newspapers for a local thrift store, and attending his grandsons ball games.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, the former Delores Joan Sites; seven siblings; and a great-grandson, Warren Bailey IV.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former E. Lenore Kline; his children, Kenneth Stoudt, of Eden, Vt., Lu Ann Stoudt, of Lewisburg, Kerry Stoudt, of Liberty, Kevin (Susette) Stoudt, of Harrisburg, Arnie (Marcy) Miller, of Watsontown; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the East District Mennonite Church, 71 East District Road, Watsontown, with Pastor Sam Corderman and Pastor John Weaver officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Friends will be received on Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the church.
