Photography Contest, June 2 to August 2. The theme is "Spark a Reaction" and all photos will be displayed during the month of August in the library display cases.

10 a.m. Mondays, June 9 through Aug. 4 -Kids in the Garden. Miss Kim and Miss Pat show children how to weed plants and take care of a garden. At the end of the summer, a kid's garden party is held that features the vegetables that are harvested.
10 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays June 10 through Aug. 13 - Preschool Discover. This story time is for children 3 to 5 years old and their parents or caregivers.

10 a.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays June 10 through Aug. 13 - Toddler Discover. The story time features stories read out loud, finger plays and songs that encourage early literacy skills in children. American Sign Language is used as part of the program. This program is for children ages 1 and 2.
6:30 p.m. Tuesdays starting June 167- Let's Explore Science. Each week, children try experiments that pertain to a different field of science. No program June 24.

7 p.m. June 19 - Library Book Group. The group will be discussing "The Crack in the Edge of the World," by Simon Winchester.

6:30 p.m. June 24 - Master Gardeners: Pesticides, Choice and Use, 6:30 p.m. A talk on Integrated Pest Management and the safe use of pesticides with Joel Imgrund, horticultural program assistant at the Penn State Union County Extension. Register at 570-523-1172 or visit the library.
10 a.m. June 25 - Bike Helmet Safety. The program is open to everyone but will focus on children from preschool age through second grade. Registration required.
Thursdays starting June 26 - RU Curious. Five programs on a variety of subjects such as bubbles, building towers, and simple machines. Check website for times.
2 p.m. June 26 - Bubble Run. Learn what kind of items can be used to make bubbles and learn about the science of a bubble. This program is for children of all ages. The program will be on the south lawn of the library.
7 p.m. June 26 - Native American History in Central Pennsylvania. Local historian, Bruce Teeple, discusses the history of Native Americans.
6:30 p.m. June 30 - Kids Art Lab. This is a six-week program for children in first through sixth grade that explore various art media used by picture book illustrators.
