5th annual spring tea
LINDEN - The State Road Women's Ministry will hold its fifth annual spring tea at 2 p.m. at State Road United Methodist Church, 6738 Daugherty's Run Road. The Rev. Danesta Whaley of City Church in Williamsport will be the guest speaker and Martha Kress, of Gillett, will be the guest vocalist. The program story is The Apple Blossom and the Dandelion, is open to the general public, free and includes door prizes and refreshments.
Fundraiser concert set
WATSONTOWN - The Father's Hope Fundraiser Concert will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Revival Tabernacle, 960 Susquehanna Trail. A free-will offering will be accepted to support Father's Hope, a Milton-based international orphan outreach project which primarily ships small stuffed animals and hand-crafted cards, created by local youth, to orphanages around the world. Donations of small stuffed animals also will be accepted at the concert, which is designed to be a fun evening of fellowship for the entire family. Local artists scheduled to perform include Mackenzie Brouse with Ricky Murphy, Aubrey Chappell, Thaddeus Davis, Krissy Heimbach, Franklin and Brittany Merritt, Kirstyn Cortney Myers, Amy Santa Rosa, the Michael Sweigard Band, Angelina Ulmer, Alyssa Wise, Lauren Yost and others. Nisan Trotter will serve as master of ceremonies.
Doug Koch in concert

A pancake and sausage breakfast will be held from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph the Worker Parish Fleming Center, 720 W. Fourth St. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children 6-12. All proceeds benefit our youth who will be attending Catholic HEART WorkCamp Mission/Service experience in June.
Blessing of the bikes
JERSEY SHORE - Crossroads Community Church, 1454 South Route 44, will hold its eighth annual Blessing of the Bikes service. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. All bikers are invited to participate in the service and the ride and picnic that will follow. This year, there will be a special guest speaker as Chaplain Russ Cockrum, of Outbound Motorcycle Ministry in Indiana, will share his testimony during the 11 a.m. service. Day of Remembrance
Ohev Shalom Congregation and Temple Beth HaShalom will hold a communitywide Holocaust Day of Remembrance ceremony at 1:30 p.m. at Ohev Sholom Congregation, 1501 Cherry St. This year's theme, "Confronting the Holocaust, American Responses," coincides with the 75th anniversary of the ill fated voyage of the St. Louis, a boat containing refugees escaping Nazi Europe who were refused entry into the United States, as well as the 70th anniversary of the deportation of Hungarian Jewry to the Nazi concentration camps. Chicken or ham pot pie dinner
