Music Review: The Hold Steady, ‘Teeth Dreams’

Back in 2006, when The Hold Steady hit it big with "Boys and Girls in America," the band seemed smart and fresh. Craig Finn was like the lyricist of the pop rock party, catching drunken details and remembering to scribble them down before the hangover hit. And at the band's best, Finn's words would match with great hooks and we'd get gems like "Chips Ahoy!," which featured lyrics like "How am I supposed to know that you're high if you won't let me touch you?/ How am I supposed to know that you're high if you won't even dance?"
