Donna Hatherill Courter passed away Wednesday morning, March 26, 2014, at the Muhlenberg Campus of Lehigh Valley Hospital with her loving husband and sister by her side.
She was the wife of Franklin L. Courter. They would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on April 26. Donna was born in Canton on March 19, 1941, to the late Ross E. and Alice V. (VanTassel) Hatherill.
She retired from PPL where she worked most of her life. During their marriage, Frank and Donna lived in Cogan Station and Blanchard. In December of 2013, they moved to their new home in Northampton. Donna was a caring, kind person who always had the desire to help others. She deeply loved her husband, family and friends and always wanted the best for them. We now honor her not through our grief, but through our love and gratitude.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, Bradley R. Hatherill and wife, Anne, of Lowman, N.Y.; her sister, Marilyn Hatherill Wright, of Bath; sister-in-law, Carol Courter Fox and husband, Jack, of Lancaster; nieces and nephews, Chris, Jane Tom, Elizabeth, Rebecca, and Deborah; six great-nieces and nephews; and her cat, Sammy.
Services and interment are at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the George G. Bensing Funeral Home, Inc., Moorestown Bath.
In honor of Donna's love for all animals, memorial contributions can be made to your local animal shelter, or to the animal charity of your choice.
