MANSFIELD -Mansfield University has launched a redesigned Web site aimed at providing users with a more dynamic, intuitive navigation.
Found at Mansfield.edu, the new responsive design also allows users of tablets and mobile devices to experience the site fully.
The design and infrastructure were done by Coordinator of Web Services John Maslar and Web Developer Kim Hulslander, supervised by Co-Director Suzanne Murphy, in the MU Campus Technologies (CT) Department. The Web Advisory Group, an ad hoc committee made up of representatives from CT, Admissions, Public Relations and Student Affairs, met regularly to discuss the project and make suggestions.

"The fact that this major project was completed in-house shows the true strength of Mansfield and saved the university tens of thousands of dollars," said Fran Hendricks, MU president. "John Maslar, Kim Hulslander and everyone involved are to be commended for their excellent work."
Among the site's new features are the main page, which displays campus events, news, social media articles and several other postings, all in real time.
"It also provides a gateway for future Mounties and their parents to learn more about our programs and the admissions process," Maslar said. "We will also be featuring various testimonials, profiles, video segments, and student photography and artwork on our full-screen sized carousel rotation."
The new look of the Web site is consistent throughout, from the main page to department and programs pages. All pages also have easier navigation and larger, more useful dropdown menus.
