Pitt's perspective

Giving not receiving

December 9, 2013

Christmas is most people's favorite holiday but most people don't know what the true meaning of Christmas is. Christmas is about giving not receiving. The Salvation Army is a good example of an organization that gives at Christmastime. Some people volunteer as bell ringers that raise money that helps the needy. Also, people donate clothing and the profits from the sales go to help the needy. Lyter Elementary is holding a non-perishable food drive that feeds the needy. Also, McCall Middle School is holding a toy drive that gets donated to the kids in our neighborhood who don't get a good Christmas. So as you can see Christmas is about giving not receiving.
