Comedian Al Jackson, who has been seen on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham," "Comedy Central Presents" and NBC's "Last Comic Standing," will perform at 8 p.m. Dec. 8 at Kimball's Pub, 972 Second St.
Jackson is best known for starring in his own 30-minute stand up special "Comedy Central Presents: Al Jackson." Born and raised in Cleveland, Jackson began his comedy career while working as a middle school teacher in Miami. After two appearances on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" and winning several comedy competitions, he moved to New York to continue his standup career.
Recently he became the host of BBC's "Officially Amazing" as well as a writer and guest on TruTV's "Upload with Shaquille O'Neal." He has been seen on "Inspired or Insane" on the Syfy network and earned a showcase spot on Showtime's "Louie Anderson Presents."
He previously hosted FOX's nationally-syndicated travel show "Awesome Adventures" while serving as a coach on an Emmy-winning season of MTV's "MADE."
Al has also appeared in two E! specials: "50 Most Insane Celebrity Oops" and "50 Super Epic TV Moments."
Jackson has been selected to perform at many prestigious comedy festivals including the Montreal Comedy Festival, the HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas and the 2011 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Chicago, where he was voted one of the best of the fest.
Jackson can be heard on the nationally syndicated "Bob and Tom Radio Show" as well as "The Opie & Anthony Show."
