Planning for the 11th annual Festival of Trees is underway as Tony Perrotta, public relations program and fund development representative, presented Certificates of Appreciation to the Festival of Trees Committee for their efforts in the past year and for past events.
The Festival of Trees special event will begin Nov. 24 and conclude Dec. 13 with the Festival of Trees auction beginning at 7 p.m.
The Salvation Army has served Lycoming County for more than 120 years.

Funds raised through the annual Festival of Trees special event help The Salvation Army's programs and services within the community including: year round food pantry that operates three days per week, senior citizen programs including nursing home visitations, youth programs, fuel assistance programs, Christmas assistance for children, families and senior citizens, Project Break Through and much more.
"We have received entries for this year's event but still have spaces available for companies and organizations that would like to be involved" said Perrotta.
Perrotta further added that at the conclusion of the Festival of Trees event all involved win.
The general public will take home beautiful trees filled with incentive prizes and adorned with decorations while local companies and organizations are commended with special recognition during the three-week display and during the live auction.
