Downtown businesses will kick off November with the following First Friday events:
6 to 9 p.m. at Converge Gallery, 140 W. Fourth St. - "Outside In": opening reception and artist talk. The exhibition features work by Anthony Cervino, Michael Dar-ough, Greg McLemore, Lawrence Charles Miller and Kimberly Witham. Guest curated by Seth Goodman.
5 to 8 p.m. at Patinaz, 400 Pine St. - Sample dips from the kitchen of North Country Fixins and new fall candles.
7:30 p.m. at Community Theatre League, 100 W. Third St. - "Open Stage," an eclectic mix of musical performances, poetry, comedy, dance and more. Acts can sign up in advance or can sign up to do something that night.
5 to 8 p.m. at Otto's Bookstore, 107 W. Fourth St. - Two featured authors: Dianne Salerni will sign her novel, "Caged Graves" and G. Hartmore will sign his novel, "Nudged."
7 to 9 p.m. at Alabaster Coffee Roaster & Tea Co., 407 W. Fourth St. - Lycoming College student artwork fon display; live music provided by Frenchie & the Love Sick Traitors.
5 p.m. at James V Brown Library, 19 E. Fourth St. - Song collector and singer Steve Sutherlan playing songs from the 1920s celebrating "The Great Gatsby" in the Moltz Rotunda Room.
5:30 to 7 p.m. at CH'Arts, Plankenhorn's, 144 W. Fourth St. - Artwork from Curtin Intermediate students.
6 to 8 p.m. at ST'Art Gallery, the Genetti, 200 W. Fourth St. - Artwork from Williamsport Area High School seniors Kailynn Ellis and Jay Westbrook.
5 p.m. at Eagle Rock Winery, 414 W. Fourth St. - Wine and food tasting, holiday themed items and marzipan pumpkins.
5 to 8 p.m. at Community Arts Center, 220 W. Fourth St. - November's indoor artist market in the lobby featuring Stacy Losell, Kimberly Wachter-Lutz, Fiona Powell, Vivienne Shay, Noelle Stamm and Linda Wise.
10 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Bullfrog Brewery, 229 W. Fourth St. - A psychadelic funk experience featuring Dr. Slothclaw, of York.
8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Baskin Gallery, Williams-port Area School District DSC, 2780 W. Fourth St. - Plastics + Art. A spooky collaboration between plastics (science) classes and 2D Design (art) students at the Williamsport Area High School.
