Zumba burlesque party to be held
A burlesque party featuring two hours of Zumba fitness will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Callie Hall Fitness, 912 Almond St. There is a fee for entry. There will be contests, prizes and refreshments will be available.
Packwood House Halloween event
LEWISBURG - The Packwood House Museum will hold a Halloween event beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at its location, 15 N. Water St.
A spooky story time held by Bloomsburg University student Brittiny Seedor will begin at 5:30, 6 and 6:30 p.m.
Hot apple cider and refreshments will be available. Children and parents in costume will receive candy.

'Trunk or Treat' event to be held
AVIS - Avis United Methodist Church will sponsor a 'Trunk or Treat' event from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the parking lot at its location, 215 Prospect Ave.
Several car trunks will be decorated and will have treats for all children.

Slifer House Museum to hold events
LEWISBURG - The Slifer House Museum, 80 Magnolia Dr., will host the following events for the month of November:
2 p.m. Saturday - Civil War exhibition and lecture. Local historian and reenactor David Howell will present, highlighting the seventh Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry and soldier Samuel Blain of Milton. Reservations are required and seating is limited.
8 p.m. Nov. 9 - "An Evening With Lincoln" presented by historian and reenactor James Getty. Seating is limited.
6:30 to 10:30 p.m. Nov. 16 - Civil War Ball. Slifer House Museum and Susquehanna River Valley Heritage Alliance will host the event in the ballroom of Lewisburg Hotel, 136 Market St. There will be a fee for tickets.

United Way basket bingo
The Lycoming County United Way will hold basket bingo at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Old Lycoming Township Fire Hall, 1600 Dewey Avenue. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
An early bird game will begin at 12:45 p.m. and there will be 20 regular games. The event will feature one super bingo game, a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle, door prizes and refreshments.
