Moms and moms-to-be are invited to join the Williamsport Area Chapter of Mothers and More for its fall open house at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 1 on at Jeremiah's above the Bullfrog Brewery, 229 W. Fourth St.
Mothers and More is a non-profit organization that helps mothers focus on themselves - as both mothers and women - wherever they are on life's journey.
It also allows moms to connect with themselves, make meaningful connections with other mothers and help them find their "more" while facing motherhood challenges.
The Williamsport area chapter was founded in March 2010.
"Our Williamsport chapter is very active, and provides a variety of opportunities for kids, moms and families to connect with each other. The fall open house will be a great way for moms to get an idea of what our group is all about," said Chelsea Bennett, co-leader of the group.
The Williamsport Area chapter hosts a monthly member meeting on the first Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. at the Williamsport YWCA.
These meetings provide an opportunity for moms to talk, and sometimes the group hosts a speaker. Meetings are child-free, however infants six months and under are welcome.
The group also hosts playtime opportunities for infants, toddlers and children, family activities, book club, mom's night out events and more. The open house will provide an overview of Mothers and More, time to talk with current members and light refreshments. Cash bar will be available.
