The Tiadaghton Quilt Guild will present its biennial quilt show from 6 to 9 p.m. Oct. 18, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 19, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 20.
The show will be held on the Pennsylvania College of Technology campus in the Field House, One College Avenue. There will be an admission fee.
More than 100 quilts and related items have been entered in the show in the following categories: bed quilts, wall hangings, hand quilted, group quilts, doll quilts, holiday quilts, military theme quilts, hooked wool rugs by RuthAnn VanHorn (d'd) and miscellaneous pieced and-or quilted items.
Some of the displayed items will be for sale. There also will be a display of challenge quilts.
A number of sewing and quilting related vendors will be selling their wares during the show.
They will include fabric, thread, patterns, notions, Bernina & Gammill sewing machines, wooden quilt display racks and other quilting and sewing related items.
APQS certified quilt appraiser will have vintage quilts for sale and be available to appraise quilts.
Tickets will be on sale for a colorful, hand-quilted, queen-size raffle quilt.
From noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 19, there will be a free quilt class on how to sew a jelly roll strip table runner and quilt.
This is a beginner to advanced class. Some machines will be available to sew on curtsy of Hoovers Bernina. Contact Jeff Randall at 560-1955 to sign up for class and project list.
