Josephine Mary Ruch, 94, of DuBoistown, died at home on Saturday July 13, 2013.
She was born in Williamsport on Aug. 22, 1918, a daughter of Herman and Wilhelmina Baier Steinbacher.
Josephine was a graduate of the former St. Mary's High School and former Williamsport Technical Institute. She had been employed at Bell Aircraft in Buffalo, as a waitress and was homemaker. Josephine was a volunteer and help found at St. Anthony's Center.

Surviving are sons, Richard J. (Judy) Ruch of Syracuse, N.Y., and Christopher J. (Mary) Ruch of Rauchtown; four grandchildren, Jacob Ruch, Jessica (Doug) Williams, Adam (Jessica) Ruch, Nicole (Paul) Laga; four great-grandchildren and sisters, Wilhelmina Ulsamer and Vivian Eck both of Nisbet.
Her husband Dick Ruch; daughter, Linda Getgen; brothers, Walter, James, Robert, Herman and Richard Steinbacher; sisters, Sister Hermanita Steinbacher SCC, Ruth Ann Haag and Mary Dougherty all preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church, 800 W. Central Ave., South Williamsport, with her pastor, Msgr. Stephen D. McGough officiating followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Montoursville.
There will be a private family visitation from 8 to 9 a.m. Wednesday at Crouse Funeral Home, 133 E. Third St., Williamsport.
