Man charged in BB gun shooting
HUGHESVILLE - A Northumberland County man has been charged with allegedly shooting another male, believed to be a minor, in the buttocks with a BB gun, according to state police.
Cory Glen Dodson, 28, of 1251 Whitehall Road, Turbotville, has been charged with recklessly endangering, simple assault and disorderly conduct as a result of the incident in the 1300 block of Horn Hill Road in Wolf Township about 4:20 p.m. on March 10, police said.
Dodson and the other male were involved "in shooting one another in a mutual fight," police said. Dodson has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge Jon E. Kemp.
Woman allegedly driving with stolen plate
MONTGOMERY - A Hughesville area woman has been charged with receiving stolen property for allegedly having a stolen license plate on her car, according to state police.
When a state trooper stopped her vehicle on Route 147 in Northumberland County on the afternoon of Jan. 13, Rachael Louise Gregory, 30, of 152 Boak Ave., Wolf Township, was found to have on a her car a plate stolen from A1 Wheels and Deals, Route 15, Clinton Township, in late December, police said.
Gregory has been sent a summons to appear before District Judge Jon E. Kemp.
Teen faces assault, harassment charges
HUGHESVILLE - An 18-year-old man faces charges for allegedly throwing his mother onto the concrete patio during a disturbance at the family's Wolf Township home, according to state police.
Mitchell Thomas Hans has been charged with simple assault and harassment for throwing Shonny Lynn Miller onto the concrete patio, causing "the right side of her head to bounce off the concrete" at 111 Richard Ave. about 9 p.m. on June 12, Trooper Jared King said in court papers.
Miller admitted to King that she "got in her son's face" and she apparently became upset after the son "pushed her in the chest." She started to go at her son's neck with her hands when Hans, who "has a history of anger issues and depression," grabbed her and slammed her to the ground, King was told.
Following his arraignment hours after the incident, Hans initially was committed to the Lycoming County Prison, but since has been released on $7,000 bail. He already has waived his preliminary hearing.
Woman jailed after alleged biting incident
A 20-year-old woman court-ordered to a Loyalsock Township group home on Beach Road has been charged with aggravated assault and harassment for allegedly biting a caseworker on the arm after she refused to take her medicine, according to state police.
Kristina Marie Pope assaulted the county employee about 12:35 p.m. on July 1, police said. She was arraigned hours later before District Judge Gary A. Whiteman and committed to the Lycoming County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
