WELLSBORO - On July 23, the American Cancer Society will offer its Look Good Feel Better (LGFB) program to Tioga County and nearby residents. Guided by Luanne Goodwin, trained LGFB facilitator and licensed beauty professional, female cancer patients who participate in the class will learn how to use make-up and skin care techniques to overcome the appearance related effects of cancer treatment. Cindy Dalton, volunteer, will be assisting.
Prior to the session, a light supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. The class will run from 6 to 8 p.m. and will be held at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in the first floor conference room.

At the close of the session, participants will have the opportunity to look at wigs and head coverings. The American Cancer Society offers free wigs to those with cancer. LGFB is offered through a collaboration between the American Cancer Society; the Personal Care Products Council Foundation; and the Professional Beauty Association, National Cosmetology Association. Classes and materials are provided free of charge to women in active cancer treatment.
