The Williamsport Crosscutters had the first game of its three-game series with Auburn postponed on Sunday after a thunderstorm left the field saturated with water.
The game never started as the tarp was placed on the field prior to first pitch, and was postponed after a 53-minute rain delay. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader at Bowman Field beginning today at 5:05 p.m. The Crosscutters and Doubledays will play a pair of seven-inning games.
Jon Prosinski was scheduled to be the Cutters starting pitcher for Sunday's game and will likely pitch one of the two games today. Williamsport entered with a three-game winning streak after sweeping Mahoning Valley on the road.
Williamsport Crosscutters head groundskeeper Mike McMahon makes the most out of Sunday’s rainout by throwing a football around. The Crosscutters and Auburn Doubledays will play a doubleheader today beginning at 5 p.m.
