The 20th annual Pennsylvania Cystic Fibrosis Inc. (PACFI) Golf Classed, held at Wynding Brook Golf Club in Milton, netted $17,000 for the organization.
There were 88 golfers that participated in the event that was sponsored by more than 40 businesses.
"It was a beautiful day for golf and we appreciated the support of so many golfers, sponsors, and donors," Betty Hollenbach, PACFI president said.
PACFI’s Bob Derr, left, accepts a check for a team and a hole sponsor from Pete Gordon, Sunbury, who represented Sunbury Eagles Lodge No. 503. The Eagles fielded a four man team for the event in addition to sponsoring a hole.
The first flight winners, with a score of 62, were Dennis Meckley, Ken Troutman, Scott Rupert and Chris Rager; second flight winners, with a score of 65, were Ted Dougherty Sr., Ted Dougherty Jr., Lew Rupert and Bob Mull; third flight winners, scoring 72, were Kim Benshoff, Bob Kauffman, Colbie Kauffman and Larry Haire. Women's Flight winners were Linda Rager, Kathy Rearick, Vonnie Sones and Rachel Mull.
Closest to the Pin winners for the men were Ken Troutman and Zeke Fisher.
For the women, Amy Schemery and Janna Cahill. The longest drive winner for the men was Jeff Hunt, and for the women, Linda Rager.
About 114 people attended the dinner and awards ceremony emceed by PACFI's Logan Roush of New Berlin.
PACFI is an independent, nonprofit, all volunteer 501(c)3 organization that provides services and supports for Pennsylvania individuals and families affected by cystic fibrosis (CF) and funds some of the nation's most progressive research.
