Two ladies from Post W Williamsport, Travelers Protective Association of America have been awarded State T.P.A. recognition awards.
Vivian J. Siegel, post community service chairwoman received the first place State Community Service Award for having the highest amount of points throughout the Pennsylvania State T.P.A. Division.
Points are accumulated by having members of their Post collect cancelled postage stamps, aluminum can tabs, working or non-working hearing aids, box top for education, used eye glasses and doing volunteer work.
Vera Gail Eppler, post communications chairwoman received the first place State Communications Award for having the highest amount of points throughout the Pennsylvania State T.P.A. Division.
Points for this award are accumulated by promoting T.P.A. throughout the local area by placing articles in newspapers and posting signs in the community.
