United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. This Wednesday, J. Morris Smith, the Shepherd of the Street, will talk about the ministry of United Churches of Lycoming County, which celebrates it's 25th anniversary this year. A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.
The United Churches telephone devotion line is available 24 hours a day by calling 322-5762. The devotionalist next week will be the Rev. Danesta Whaley. Whaley is a member of Citychurch in Williamsport and the North Central Regional director of Yokefellow Prison Ministry.
