Lutheran church yard sale
RAUCHTOWN - The five Lutheran Churches of Jersey Shore (St. James, St. John, Garman, Grace and Trinity) are hosting a yard sale starting at 7 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, 3242 Middle Road. All proceeds will be donated to the Lock Haven Women's Shelter and Family Promise.

Special Mother's Day service

Garage, bake and luncheon sale
Good Shepherd Church, 827 Good Shepherd Road in Montoursville, will hold a garage, bake and luncheon sale from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Lunch will be available all day.
St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 2233 Linn St., will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast buffet from 7-10 a.m. Takeouts available. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 6-12; free for those 5 and under. Beverage included.
Free clothes closet
Oak Grove Alliance Church, 1680 Fox Hollow Road, will hold a free clothes closet from 9 a.m.-noon.
JERSEY SHORE - Phelps Chapel United Methodist Church, off Pine Creek Exit of Route 220, will offer chicken barbecue and home made ice cream starting at 11 a.m. Meal cost is $7 or $4 for a half chicken.
UNITYVILLE - St. John's Lutheran Church, 68 Gordner Church Road, will hold an all-you-can-eat smorgasbord starting at 4 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults, $4 for children 6-12 and free for those 5 and under. the church is three miles west of Unityville on Moreland Baptist Road.
Haiti relief information
Calvary Baptist Church, 42 Washington Blvd., will hold a Haiti relief informational event from 5-7 p.m. for those interested in learning about 7-10-day trips to build houses for people who still are living in tents and other on-going ministries to those devastated during the January 2010 earthquake. LOCK HAVEN - Homecoming Sunday during National Salvation Army Week will be celebrated at 10:45 a.m. at the Lock Haven Salvation Army, 119 E. Church St., with guests W.Todd and Carol Bassett, retired national commanders in a day of praise, worship and fellowship.
Women's Day set

HUNTERSVILLE - The ninth annual Huntersville Gospel Songfest will be held at 6:45 p.m. at Huntersville United Methodist Church, 5263 Rabbittown Road. The event will feature Redeemed, Carl and Opal Schlappi, Rebecca Smith, Steve and Donna Sebridge, Lenny Weber and Karla Schreck, with special guests the Pennsdale Trinity United Methodist Church Kids Bell Choir.
