United Churches Wednesday noon ecumenical lunches are held each week of the school year at Pine Street United Methodist Church, 441 Pine St. This Wednesday, Phil and Gail Landers will be the speakers. They are the case managers of United Churches Long Term Disaster Relief Committee and will be celebrating the fact that all the families we have been working with from the devastation of Tropical Storm Lee are able to be back in their homes. They also will talk about the ways this committee will work to remain ready for future emergencies. A serving of a catered $6 lunch begins at 11:45 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Free parking is available in the lot north of the church. Although reservations are not needed, those not regular attendees should call United Churches at 322-1110 to help the caterer know how many to prepare for.
