This week's features include "The Hit" by David Baldacci. No. 1 New York Times bestselling author David Baldacci's next blockbuster thriller.
Will Robie is a master of killing. A highly skilled assassin, Robie is the man the U.S. government calls on to eliminate the worst of the worst - enemies of the state, monsters committed to harming untold numbers of innocent victims. No one else can match Robie's talents as a hitman ... no one, except Jessica Reel.
Also featured is "Waiting to be Heard" a true story by Amanda Knox. In November 2007, 20-year-old Knox, an American studying in Perugia, Italy, was arrested for the gruesome murder of her British roommate, Meredith Kercher, resulting in sensationalist news coverage worldwide. Convicted and jailed (with her Italian boyfriend) after a deeply polarizing trial, Knox served until 2011, when an appeals court overturned the conviction and freed her. Here, she draws on journals she kept throughout her ordeal to give us her side of the story: her trial, her unreasonable treatment by the Italian police, her time in jail, and the relentless media scrutiny.
The DVD featured is "Amazing Racer." After the sudden death of her father leaves a teenage girl without a family, she becomes lost in her own anger and sadness. Her family doctor (Daryl Hannah) informs her that her father had a secret, that the mother she never knew (Claire Forlani) was alive and well.
When she travels to meet her, she befriends a horse trainer (Louis Gossett Jr) and discovers that in caring for the horse, she is able to overcome her hardships and emotional trauma.
Together they begin to win many races and upset the favorites, owned by an egocentric mogul (Eric Roberts).
