Ramona M. Szybist, 90, of DuBoistown, went into the loving arms of our Lord on Saturday, April 20, 2013.
Ramona was born in Bastress Township on Jan. 20, 1923, a daughter of Edward G. and Margaret C. Nittinger Bower.
She was a member of St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church and the church's Altar and Rosary Society. Ramona was a N.Y. Yankees fan, enjoyed playing cards, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter.
Her loving husband of 60 years, Frank S. Szybist, preceded her in life's journey on July 6, 2009.
Surviving are daughters, Peggy (Joe) Fischer of Williamsport, Nancy (Ed) Crum of South Williamsport, Debbie (Dale) McNary of Loyalsock Township; five grandchildren, Heather Bloom Lockard, Amanda Crum, Andrea Crum Dixon, Jama Rightmire DeBrody, Dustin McNary; great-granddaughter, Teaghan Leonard; brother, Bernard P. (Sonny) Bower of Oriole; and sister, Jane F. Bower of Williamsport.
In addition to her parents and husband, four brothers, LaRue C., Edward F., Robert E. and Carl A. Bower, preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 24, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 800 W. Southern Ave., South Williamsport, with her pastor, Msgr. Stephen D. McGough officiating, followed by burial at Resurrection Cemetery in Montoursville. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, mass cards will be available at the church.
