Lycoming County's transportation work program that has been endorsed by the Williamsport Area Transportation Study's technical committee will be up for review by commissioners at their Thursday meeting.
The plan outlines the county's transportation needs during the next 20 years to accommodate future growth and development, according to Mark Murawski, county transportation planner.
The county partners with the state Department of Transportation to manage the work program, Murawski said. Commissioners will vote on the $191,000 cost of the service that is provided by PennDOT.
Murawski said the plan will not become final until after a public comment period this fall.
Commissioners also will review a state Department of Environmental Protection grant that pays for half of county Recycling Coordinator Jason Yorks' position.
A DEP grant of $146,499 for 2011 recycling performance will be reviewed for acceptance. That amount is up from $129,322 in 2010, said Yorks.
An agreement to provide court reporting services by two part-time employees to replace one retiring court reporter also will be reviewed. Kevin Way, county court administrator, said it is difficult to find full-time court reporters.
Commissioners also will consider a $26,000 purchase of office desks for county information services personnel.
