Religion wars

April 2, 2013
dsp Williamsport Sun-Gazette

Recently at a Florida university an instructor told his class to write the name Jesus on a piece of paper, throw it on the floor and stomp on it. One student refused to do so for personal religious reasons and was threatened with disciplinary action. I realize the instructor is constitutionally entitled to his opinion. However, so is the student who refused to participate. But remember, the so-called War on Religion is a myth. Jon Stewart and Bill Mahr say so, so it must be true.
